Torey Wahlstrom paints native birds and plants in watercolor and acrylic. Her recent focus is on conservation and bringing attention to species threatened by extinction. She is mainly self-taught and has been painting and drawing wildlife since she was a small child. Her work has been exhibited at North Carolina Botanical Garden, Blowing Rock Art Museum, Spartanburg Art Museum, and North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences.
